Chapter VI: SS11/12 'Made in Dreams'

We're proud as as some kind of alcoholic fruit drink to announce the release of our SS11/12 collection - 'Made in Dreams'.

Reflecting the optimism and excitement generated by the social changes of the early '70s; a time when Stevie Nicks was a waiflike child of the new era, wise beyond her years, and an up-and-coming music and style icon, 'Made In Dreams' embraces the free-spirited ethos that consumed the '60s and '70s and shaped the decades to come.

For SS11/12 we have tapped into the enthusiasm of this dreamer, but with a modern focus for today’s effortlessly stylish consumer.

Highlights include bustiers, pleat front shorts and playsuits in lightweight chambray denim, along with our signature cut jeans; most notably in the featured warpaint wash.

In our continuing search for the perfect denim, 'Made In Dreams' experiments with a range of premium fabrics. Printed chiffon and a contemporary use of lace, sits alongside jersey and linen to create a cohesive interpretation of what the iconic waif from a simpler time would wear in the modern day.

As always every Eleventh Commandment garment is 100% Made in Australia.

We are looking for a highly motivated all rounder to join our team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate must be confident in patternmaking, garment construction, designing and have superlative organisational skills.

The position is primarily a production management role but you will also be required to help run the design room and follow through from initial design, patternmaking and sample range completion.

Responsibilities include:
- Patternmaking
- Sketching
- Technical specification drawings
- Sample cutting
- Taking ownership and responsibility for assigned and related tasks
- Sourcing fabrics, linings and trims
- Liaising with suppliers and makers
- Calculating costs
- Managing fittings
- Setting and adhering to budgets
- Producing specification sheets and cut plans
- Calculating yields and fabric requirements
- Quality control
- Creating collections to meet range briefs

The successful candidate will have:
- Strong initiative
- Master of time management and organisation
- Ability to work independently
- Superior communication skills
- Adobe suite experience (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Proficiency in Excel
- Sketching ability
- Creativity
- Knowledge of current trends and an understanding of the current market
- Garment knowledge
- Advanced sewing and pattern making ability
- Driver’s licence

This is a challenging but rewarding role that will require high energy and commitment. It is a fantastic opportunity to join a small team and take part in the rapid growth of a dynamic emerging Australian label.
